This story isn’t quite finished yet. It’s based off a super bizarre dream I had years ago which involved multiple anime characters in one dream and the main character was my oc Miyuki. This is all that I wrote which is basically the extent of the dream.
A bus full of people drove smoothly through the hot sandy desert, the
sun glaring off its metal roof. Sitting on the bus wondering why they
were driving through a desert in the first place was a young girl with
hazelnut shoulder length hair with two small star clips attached to the
side staring out the window with her bright blue eyes. She had her hand
on her chin and one foot on the leather long seat and gave a sigh.
Suddenly she spotted something in the distance.
It was a person,
someone walking through the desert away from the bus and out to the
east. She immediately leaped up and rushed over to the bus driver.
“Excuse me sir, can I get out here please?” she asked. The driver stared
shocked she wanted to get out in the middle of the desert. “You sure
about this lady?” he asked but started to slow down at her nod and
opened the door. She hopped out and quickly ran after the figure she
spotted walking not too far away.
When she got up close enough to
see who it was, she gasped. It was a tall boy with bushy brown hair
wearing a crimson jacket and black jeans. He didn’t even look back at
her as he kept on walking, so she started to follow him. She had heard
the phrase curiosity killed the cat, but this boy seemed harmless as
they continued to trudge through the desert for what seemed like miles.
Finally
he stopped and the girl’s eyes widened. They were suddenly near some
gravel and sitting on top of it was a large odd looking building, slides
coming out of some of its sides, the walls concrete but with windows,
its size the size of an average skyscraper. She stared up at it but
stopped when she noticed the boy started to move again and quickly
followed. They walked across the gravel until they stopped at what
appeared to be a hole in the ground.
The boy turned around to
face her, his mahogany eyes on her as he gave a smile, then proceeded to
jump backwards down the hole. The girl gasped as she watched him fall
then decided to leap off after him and fell down what felt like a cold
metal slide down, down, down until she landed with a thud on cement
ground. She was now inside the building but deep underground, the only
light coming from cracks in the concrete ceiling. She spotted the red
jacket boy walking down some stone steps and stopped at a wall. She kept
going as her eye caught him touching the wall and heard the noise of
stones moving and a secret crawling space opened up and the boy crawled
inside.
The brunette girl ran down the steps and quickly crawled
inside only to discover it was a long crawl space tunnel with sand on
the floor, and the boy was nowhere to be found. She crawled forward,
seeing the exit on the other side of the tunnel, and paused when two red
headed boys suddenly popped their heads in from the exit. “Hello down
there! What are you doing here?” one called out followed by the other.
From the way they looked the girl figured they must be twins, their
flaming hair and gold eye color the same, their boyish faces identical.
She
thought about her answer for a second than said, “I’m looking for a boy
wearing a red jacket, have you seen him?” The twins looked at one
another and grinned. “You mean Judai Yuki? Yeah we saw him and we can
take you to him.” Said one of the twins. “Yeah, just follow us.” Said
the other as the girl managed to get out of the crawl space and ended up
in yet another hallway with the concrete stairs.
She said her
thanks and followed the twin boys up the stairs, taking note that this
was a little different than before. Decorating the stairs, the walls,
and even the ceiling, was colorful graffiti. Sitting nearby against the
walls were people dressed in punk like clothing, the ones, she figured,
that must of drew up the art. They seemed friendly as they just watched
her and the twins go up the stairs, some smiling and waving and saying
hello.
They reached a door and went inside, and the girl gave a
gasp. It was a waiting room that looked like it belonged to a fancy
hotel, the floor made of marble, the chairs looking quite comfy, giant
elevators waiting to carry guests in the back. That was where she
spotted Judai, walking towards the elevator hallway and taking a left.
She followed the twins that way and passed by a receptionist with blonde
hair in pigtails wearing large circular glasses wearing what seemed to
be a Japanese schoolgirl uniform.
The woman waved hello and
pointed her and the twins towards Judai’s whereabouts. They continued to
rush towards that way when they entered the hall. She was about to go
towards the left end of the hallway when the twins stepped in front of
her. She stared up at them. “What’s wrong?” she asked, noticing they
wouldn’t let her through. It was then a Ying-yang symbol appeared on the
ground beneath her and a strange barrier formed, trapping her inside.
“Wha-What’s
going on?” she cried out, banging on the barrier. It wouldn’t budge.
The twins now looked serious. “Look, Judai isn’t an ordinary boy, and
neither are we. This place you stumbled upon, it’s called the Elemental
Fortress, a place for those with strange magical powers involving the
elements to live and relax. Our element power is light and darkness. We
are the Hitachin twins, Hikaru and Kaoru.” They explained in unison as
they gazed at the scared girl.
“Who are you and why are you here?
Normally outsiders are not allowed here as they usually try to hurt us
or capture us and send us away to scientists.” continued one of the
twins, Hikaru she presumed. “I’m Miyuki Tenshi and I got here by
following that boy with the red jacket.” She replied, giving up on
trying to escape as she hoped her explanation would be enough to free
her.
The two brothers looked at each other then smiled again.
“Ah, if that’s the case, then we need to test you. See, Judai has a
mission of going out and finding those with elemental powers and leading
them here. He must have sensed you had one and decided to take you with
him.” Explained Kaoru. “Use your powers to break out our barrier and
we’ll let you continue going after Judai.” Continued Hikaru.
Miyuki
blinked. Powers, she didn’t even know she had powers, let alone what
they were. But if she wanted to escape she had to do something so she
closed her eyes and concentrated, thinking in her head if she had any
power, she wanted it to be released and now. A small wind began to kick
up at her feet and grew larger until eventually it was like a tornado
surrounding her body and busted open the barrier which shattered like
glass.
She stared wide-eyed at what she just did and saw that the
twins held the same expression. When the tornado died down, she found
herself a little dizzy and leaned against the wall. “So, you have the
element of wind. Interesting. All right, we’ll let you through. Keep
following Judai.” The twins said with a big grin and opened a path for
Miyuki. “Thank you.” She bowed politely and ran off, leaving the twins
watching after her with smiles.
She reached the other hallway
just in time to see Judai about to enter one of the huge elevators. She
wondered if maybe he had waited for her, after all it wouldn’t take that
long to reach the elevators. She followed him inside and gasped at how
large the interior was. Judai sat on the bench that was inside with a
giant mirror behind it, pulling out headphones out of his pockets and
sticking them in his ears. His eyes were closed so Miyuki figured he
might have not noticed her come in, so she walked over and sat nearby.
They
were going up this time in the elevator and Miyuki wondered where
exactly they were headed. She looked back to Judai and blushed lightly.
What could she say to him now that she finally had the chance? Hello and
thanks for taking me to this interesting place? She guessed that could
work. “Um, hi. I… I want to thank you for leading me here. It’s an
interesting place. I… I never knew it existed. I never knew these powers
existed…” she said, hearing her voice grow soft as she looked from the
boy to her hands. That wind, was it really her that created it?
The
boy didn’t have his music up very loud it seemed as he turned and
looked to her and just smiled. The elevator stopped and the opening of
the doors revealed a garden like area, large trees, bushes and flowers
abundant. Miyuki saw a glistening swimming pool in the distance along
with other outdoor activities like volleyball nets and a tennis court.
So they must be on the roof, Miyuki thought to herself as she followed
Judai outside. He continued walking until they came across a clearing on
a large field, a breeze gently blowing the boy’s jacket and Miyuki’s
hair.
He turned around and smiled at the girl as he walked back
quite a bit away from her. Miyuki stared at him as he suddenly while
standing there, popped a fireball in his hand. Miyuki’s expression went
to shock at this as Judai began to play around with the fireball,
bouncing it around his hands. “So your element is fire…” Miyuki mused to
herself but loud enough that Judai heard and looked at her, his
expression changing to a look of interest and curiosity.
